Selected topics for recommendations include: formulation of enforceable measures to promote greater harmony between population, resources, environment and development; identification of critically endangered areas subject to acute population pressures; formulation of actions needed to alleviate pressures on the environment; and finding durable solutions to problems related to environmentally displaced persons.
