Simultaneous Extraordinary Meetings of the Conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions (ExCOPs), and Eleventh Special Session of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Governing Council/ Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GCSS-11/GMEF)

22-26 February 2010 | Bali, Indonesia

GC/GMEF leadership huddle On Friday, 26 February, delegates met in the Committee of the Whole (COW) in the morning, to consider outstanding draft decisions and in plenary, which adopted five decisions on IPBES, strengthening environmental response in Haiti, oceans, financing options for chemicals and wastes and environmental law.

In the afternoon, delegates convened in closing plenary, where the President's Summary on the outcome of the ministerial consultations was introduced. Delegates adopted the report of the COW as well as three decisions on IEG, enhanced coordination across the UN, including EMG and follow-up report on the environmental situation in the Gaza strip.

Delegates thanked the Government of Indonesia for their hospitality and expressed satisfaction with the successful conclusion of the meeting. GC/GMEF President Dulić gaveled the meeting to a close at 4:29 pm.
