Background

DAILY COVERAGE

The World Bank will hold a workshop on sustainable management of Cultural Heritage Sites at World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. from 26-30 April 1999. Some 50 participants are expected to gather for the workshop which will address issues related to site management, such as site locale, natural and cultural attributes, usage of the site, the authority structure and financial support. Participants will also develop site actions plans, hold a video-conference with the site management workshop being held in Delft, the Netherlands, and develop related curriculum.
