Highlights for Friday, 16 November 2012
Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone LayerThe final day of MOP-24 opened on Friday, 16 November 2012, in Geneva, Switzerland. In the morning, delegates met for the high-level segment, while others joined contact and discussion groups on: alternatives to ODS; feedstocks; ODS on ships; funding for climate benefits; TEAP procedures; clean production of HCFC; data discrepancies; and funding production facilities for HCFCs.

Both the preparatory segment plenary and the high-level segment plenary sessions reconvened in the afternoon. The preparatory segment approved a number of decisions to be forwarded to the high-level segment for its consideration.

The closing session of the high-level segment is expected to convene in the evening.

ENB SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS: The Earth Negotiations Bulletin summary and analysis of the Meeting will be available on this site on Monday, 19 November 2012.
