PROGRESS; SOME ISSUES UNRESOLVED

Progress was reported in two
recent meetings in New York: the second International Workshop
on the process for global reporting and assessment of the state
of the marine environment (GMA-2), and the sixth meeting of the
Open-Ended Informal Consultative Process on Oceans and The Law
of the Sea (UNICPOLOS-6). However, work on marine debris,
coordination and funding was not concluded.
