IPCC Adopts WGII Contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report

31 March 2014: The tenth Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group II (WGII-10) and 38th Session of the IPCC (IPCC-38) endorsed the findings of the second part of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) addressing climate change impacts, adaptation and vulnerability. UNEP CPR Delegates Discuss UNEA

28 March 2014: The first meeting of the Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR) to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), which subsumed the 126th meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR), served as the subsidiary intersessional entity of UNEP's new governing body—the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) of UNEP.  The meeting provided an opportunity to prepare for the UNEA sessions in 2014 and 2016, debate the role of UNEA in the UN system, and prepare draft decisions for adoption by UNEA, among other agenda items. More.
