UNFCCC TEC Holds Meeting on Technology Roadmaps, Plans Technology Briefs

27 March 2013: An expert meeting on technology roadmaps (TRMs) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Technology Executive Committee (TEC) preceded the fifth meeting of the TEC. The meetings saw presentations and discussions on experiences with TRMs and other planning tools such as Technology Needs Assessments, and how to ensure their complementarity with one another, as well as balance between planning for mitigation and adaptation technologies. High-Level Meeting Sends Water Outcomes to HLP, OWG

22 March 2013: Participants at the High-Level Meeting of the Global Thematic Consultation on Water in the Post-2015 Development Agenda discussed and endorsed the Consultation's outcomes, as presented in the “Advance Summary of the Consultation's Synthesis Report,” for submission to the UN High-level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda (HLP) and the Open Working Group (OWG) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Asia-Pacific 3R Forum Adopts Waste Management Goals

20 March 2013: The Fourth Regional 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) Forum in Asia and the Pacific addressed the theme of “3Rs in the Context of the Rio+20 Outcomes – The Future We Want.” The meeting focused on waste minimization, reuse and recycling issues in various sectors, including agriculture, industry and energy. It also adopted the Ha Noi 3R Declaration, which sets out 30 waste management goals to be achieved by 2023. More.
