Technology Executive Committee and Technology Needs Assessment Workshop Convene in Bangkok
|
12 September 2012: Two events focused on technology convened in Bangkok, Thailand, following the Bangkok Climate Change Conference. The fourth meeting of the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee (TEC 4) continued its thematic dialogue with relevant stakeholders on enabling environments and barriers to technology development and transfer, which began at TEC 3, and also considered progress on the implementation of its workplan for 2012-2013, in relation to, inter alia: technology roadmaps, relevant work of other institutions under and outside of the Convention, technology needs assessments, and possible topics for technical papers. And the Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for Climate Change Experience Sharing Workshop aimed to: showcase best TNA practices; get feedback from participating countries on conducting and reporting TNAs and Technology Action Plans (TAPs); enhance capacity of National TNA Coordinators in project proposal development; and facilitate interaction between country representatives and the funding community.
