Panama Hosts IPBES Meeting

19 April 2012: Delegates at the second session of the plenary meeting on an Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), which is meeting in Panama City, Panama, are discussing, inter alia: work programme of the platform; functions and structures of bodies that might be established under the platform; rules and procedures; physical location of the platform's secretariat; host institution or institutions; budget; and legal issues relating to the establishment and operationalization of the platform.
