In the Pacific, biodiversity is seriously threatened by development pressures, causing habitat loss, invasive species and, ever increasingly, the many impacts of climate change. The Aichi Targets are ambitious but achievable, and will help us strengthen our conservation work across the Pacific, which will have global importance. Additional financial resources are essential as Pacific countries now need to translate the Aichi Targets into action.
