Other Internet Resources for Habitat II

Robert Pollard is keeping the best list of other sites with information on Habitat II. Here is my annotated list of the more relevant ones to the negotiation process:

• Apple Computers and WETV have teamed up to present an excellent site on the Habitat II Conference. This is a must stop if you are following the meeting. While the Linkages WWW site is for readers who are familiar with UN meetings and interested in the negotiations, the Apple/WETV site is a very good general site for information on Habitat II.

• The VIV Consortium (of travel agents) has set up a site in Turkey. The site uses "frames" so if you aren't using the latest Netscape browser it may be just a jumble (they say their non-framed site is coming soon). The site is mostly "under construction" but given that it is run by a group of tourist agencies we can expect travel information here.
• The Habitat II Aotearoa site is notable for its good student organizing around the Habitat II process and is an excellent example of using the net to stay plugged into a process half-way around the world. There is also an invitation for other universities to start their own course on Habitat II.
• The Habitat II Australian NGO Database is very nicely done, with a mixture of Aussie and international material
