The potential contribution of sinks in lowering the cost of abatement action was raised. A number of parties advocated for sinks projects in CDM.

On the inclusion of land-use change in national inventories, the Alliance Of Small Island States (AOSIS) expressed concern that this may allow countries to recalculate their inventories and �erase� the bulk of what was achieved at Kyoto.
