On Monday, 4 April, parties convened throughout the day in two workshops. The pre-sessional workshop to understand the diversity of mitigation actions submitted, underlying assumptions, and any support needed for implementation of these actions, noting different national circumstances and respective capabilites of developing country parties provided to forum for developing country parties to present their nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs) and respond to questions. The Expert Workshop on the Technology Mechanism discussed the governance structure and terms of reference and the selection process and evaluation criteria for the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). In the evening a reception for delegates was hosted by the Thai Royal Government at UN ESCAP Headquarters.
