The fifth session of the Open-ended Ad Hoc Working Group of Legal and Technical Experts on Liability and Redress (WGLR 5) in the context of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety convened on Friday for its fourth day of negotiations in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.

During the morning delegates convened in two sub-working groups, one on settlement of claims and damage, focusing on definition of damage, valuation of damage and causation.
