Delegates met in two working groups throughout the day. Working Group I (WG I) considered forest biodiversity, the ecosystem approach, invasive alien species (IAS) and incentive measures. WG II addressed Article 8(j) and access and benefit-sharing (ABS). The contact group on financial resources and mechanism, the informal consultative group on ABS, an informal group on Article 8(j), the budget group and Friends of the Chair groups on agricultural and forest biodiversity also met during the day.
