COP-6 FINISHES AFTER LATE NIGHT SESSION
COP-6 finally completed its work early Saturday morning having successful reached agreement on key issues such as a compliance mechanism, the legal establishment of Regional Centers for training and technology transfer, and a Strategic Plan.

However, the meeting only finished after long delays caused by marathon negotiations on financial issues. Disputes on the scale of contributions for the core budget and on costs of translation and interpretation services at intersessional subsidiary body meetings proved particularly difficult to resolve.
