Tuvalu
intervened on health and sustainable development, and asked for
clarification on how a reference to implementing commitments
made in the Declaration on the Agreement on Trade-Related Intellectual
Property Rights and Public Health adopted in Doha would apply to
non-WTO members

Regarding
SIDS, the EU suggested language on developing additional
guidance for SIDS within the CBD including the Jakarta mandate,
making use of existing GEF focal areas. On health, the EU added
language stating that poor health due to environmental causes is
a serious constraint to sustainable development.
